Thoughtful details

Made with care, down to the last pixel.

Every font you own

All the fonts installed in Windows, each shown in its own typeface, with recently used fonts at the top.

Themes & colours

Twelve Office Silkie themes, plus Office's own themes when Office is installed. Switch a theme and the whole document follows.

Your colour, your way

Use the Office Silkie accent, match your Windows accent colour, or pick your own. Silkie PDF also follows Windows' light or dark mode.

Your files, as they are

Open and save .docx, .xlsx and .pdf files, so you can keep working with anyone, whatever they use.

Private by design

No ads, no tracking and no cloud uploads. The apps never send your documents anywhere.

Always up to date

New versions arrive by themselves. Nothing installs until you say so, and your work is never interrupted.

Privacy

Your documents never leave your PC.

Office Silkie isn't a cloud service in disguise. Your letters, budgets and contracts are opened, edited and saved on your own computer, and nowhere else.

  • No telemetryThe apps don't report what you do or what you write.
  • No ads, no sellingWe never sell your information or share it for advertising.
  • Only what's neededThe apps contact us only to run your trial and license and to check for updates.

Updates

Always improving, never in your way.

About twice a month each app checks for a new version. When there is one, it shows you what's new. Nothing downloads until you click, and nothing installs until you restart or close the app, after it asks you to save your work.

Questions

Good to know.

Will my Word and Excel files look the same?
Silkie Write and Silkie Sheets open and save .docx and .xlsx files, including fonts, themes and theme colours. Moving files between different programs is never perfect, so please use the free trial to check the files you work with most.
Do I need Microsoft Office installed?
No. Office Silkie works on its own. If Office is installed, Silkie Write and Silkie Sheets can also offer Office's own themes.
What happens when the trial ends?
The apps ask you to buy before they open again. Your documents stay on your PC and open as soon as you activate. Nothing is ever charged without you buying.
Can I move my license to a new PC?
Yes. One license covers one PC at a time. On the new PC, choose "I already bought it", sign in with your purchase email, and the license moves over.
